Ceremonial Turnover of Shelter Assistance Project
Seven (7) barangays were relocated consequent to the Guinsaugon
landslide in 2006. One of these was Guinsaugon. The barangays were
recipients of housing facilities from various donors. Four barangays were recipients of housing which were donated by the people/government of Japan. The implementation was partnered with the DSWD and Habitat for Humanity Foundation Phils. Inc. as the builders.
Last Saturday, September 20, 2008 witnessed the turnover of houses to barangays Ayahag, Sug-angon and Nueva Esperanza. The venue was at New Guinsaugon Resettlement area wherein prior turnover of 100 units were done late last year 2007.

Award of appreciation and miniature house tokens were given to Japan, DSWD and Habitat for Humanity. The activity was capped with unveiling and blessing of markers in the 3 barangays; followed by a formal luncheon.
